Christ Church is part of the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon, in the Church in Wales (Anglican). Locally, we are in the Parish of Central Swansea, along with St Mary's, City Centre and St John's, Hafod.
The church was founded in 1872 as a plant from St Mary's, to serve the Sandfields area. The church remarkably took less than a year to build, and seats over 400 people.
We are a small but active and growing local congregation. Details of our services, community groups and schools work can be found on the site. In addition, we have a thriving social life - it is a friendly and welcoming place to come.
Our weekly worship is both traditional and lively. Our traditions nourish our faith, and the joy of following Jesus brings those traditions to life. Holy Communion is celebrated at our weekly services.
We have very close links with Christchurch Primary, with whom we hold occasional joint services in the church. We run weekly assemblies there, as well as Messy Church and prayer spaces activities. See our schools work page.
A clergy team, supported by church wardens and a church council leads the work of the church.
