Community Cafe - cuppa, cake, chat
Every Thursday morning at 10.30am we host a community cafe in our hall, which is open to all. We launched the cafe in June 2019 and it is established as a great opportunity to meet and make friends locally, with a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all who come. Typically 20-30 people attend. A cup of tea or coffee, and slice of homemade cake or toast will set you back the princely sum of £1. Members of the council, police and others regularly attend so it's also a way of finding out and being heard about local issues. Entertainment such as bingo, quizzes and school choirs are often provided. Come along and join in!
TOGS - Parent and Toddler group
TOGS is a small and friendly playgroup in Christ Church hall, held on Monday mornings (9.30-11.15am) during school term time. There is open play, followed by a healthy snack, and then rhymetime songs with the evergreen Auntie Jen. Entry is £1 and includes the snack and a cuppa for grown ups. Children enjoy the morning, and it's a good opportunity to catch up with other grown ups in a relaxed environment.
