Rev Mark Thomas
Minister for Mission
  Rev Ian Folks
Minister for Pastoral Care
Mark joined the leadership team at Christchurch in summer 2023.  He is married to Kylie and loves playing football, watching rugby, climbing mountains and learning Welsh!  Before becoming a vicar he was a physics teacher and loves helping people explore science, faith and all the big questions of life.  More recently, he has served on the leadership teams at St Mark's Battersea and HTB church.  He is the author of the Speak Hope Podcast and founder of Worshipping Nation Music who are planning their first full album release in the coming year.    Ian has been on the leadership team at Christchurch since 2016 and is also vicar of St James Uplands.  He came to Swansea as a student in 1993, fell in love with it and never left!  He is married to Vanessa and they have two children, Daisy and Amelie. He previously worked in the social care, disability and voluntary sectors and in January 2021 founded Call to Mind, a Christian organisation which supports the spiritual lives of people experiencing mental health challenges.  He enjoys playing guitar, and enjoys / suffers following Tottenham and the England cricket team!

Church Warden & Treasurer
  Jim Miceli
Deputy Warden
Angela is a retired headteacher, a governor at Christchurch school and an energetic member of our new 11.15 service team.  She taught at Christchurch School in the 1980s before moving to mid-Wales where her late husband was a vicar.  She then met Mark in 2018 and they were married in Christchurch during lockdown!   She enjoys geocaching, crochet, baking and spending time with her grandson Arlo.    Jim takes the lead on most things practical at Christ Church.  Originally from Texas, he is married to Emily, and they're already so embedded in all things Welsh that few people could beat them on enthusiasm for the national rugby team!  Jim previously owned a real estate business, and more recently was facilities manager at St Andrew's Church, Abu Dhabi.

Kids Club Leader
Carys is married to Ceri and they have a son, Arlo.  She is an occupational therapist and part of our new All Age Service team.  If you might be able to help us as we grow our new children's, youth and families ministry, Carys would be a great person to talk to.      Sherry is originally from Egypt but now lives in Swansea with her family.  She leads our new after-school kids club at Christchurch Primary School which we run in partnership with St James Church, Uplands, where she also runs the children's ministry.

Community Cafe Leader
  Jen Jones
Safeguarding Officer
Wendy is a brilliant pioneer here at Christchurch.  She launched our Thursday community cafe in 2018, which survived through the pandemic and continues to thrive thanks to a dedicated volunteer team.   Jen is married to Jeff and they have both faithfully and cheerfully served the church and community for decades.  Jen is our most prolific children's ministry leader and, even in her 70s, has been found leading the actions to all-age songs ... even in a monkey suit!
